Senior Accountant - accounts payable (San Antonio, TX)

Rivermark Fern Telecom Group is a telecommunications provider in San Antonio focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 110 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
