Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Sacramento, CA)

We are growing our team at Bright Field Manufacturing Partners and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
