Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Rochester, NY)

Greenridge Sable Pharma Group is a pharmaceutical company in Rochester producing generic and specialty treatments, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. People move between science and operations roles. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around clinical studies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory filings. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
