Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Richmond, VA)

Nova Keystone Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Richmond. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around electronic records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with patient scheduling. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
