Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Reno, NV)

Amberfield Juniper Facilities Partners is a facilities company in Reno with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Reno. What you will do • Track costs around cleaning schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
