Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Reno, NV)

Nova Linden Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Reno. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Reno. What you will do • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
