Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Sparrow Care Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to family communication, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around care plans against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
