Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Highbridge Umber Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Oklahoma City, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Track costs around outage reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with network equipment. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Oklahoma City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
