Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Nova Bridge Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Little Rock, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around customer tracking against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loads and lanes, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
