Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Lumen Ashton Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Jackson. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around electronic records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with patient education. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
