Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Redstone Maple Staffing Group places workers with employers around Colorado Springs. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to timekeeping, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with timekeeping. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Colorado Springs. • We reply to every applicant.
