Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Silverline Lakeside Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Boston serving households and small businesses. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 913 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around deposit accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with loan files. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
