Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Foxglove Forge Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Rochester area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Track costs around outage reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Rochester. • We reply to every applicant.
