Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Silverline Yarrow Arts Center is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for exhibitions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 85 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around event logistics against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to exhibitions, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Oklahoma City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
