Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Highbridge Glen Facilities Group cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Denver, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 78 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety inspections, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with safety inspections. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
