Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Bright Orchard Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Boise area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
