Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Redstone Yarrow Facilities is a facilities company in Toledo with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety inspections, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with safety inspections. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
