Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Silverline Maple Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Track costs around scrap and rework against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Cleveland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
