Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Silverline Loom Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Orlando. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around underwriting files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer complaints, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
