Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Bright Pine Staffing is a Austin staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 129 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to candidate screening, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around retention against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with candidate screening. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
