Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Rivermark North Pharma supports drug development and manufacturing around Phoenix, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around regulatory filings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with release testing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Phoenix. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
