Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Foxglove Amber Construction is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for safety records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety records, and clear open items. • Track costs around materials orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with safety records. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
