Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Harborlight Vista Staffing Group places workers with employers around Columbus. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. We are in the people business and act like it. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to onboarding, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around candidate screening against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with onboarding. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Columbus. • We reply to every applicant.
