Senior Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Ironwood Lakeside Legal Group provides legal services in Memphis across employment, housing and small-business law, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 836 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to intake forms, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around document review against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with intake forms. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
