Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Raleigh, NC)

Harborlight Beacon Markets is a Raleigh retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with pricing. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Raleigh. • We reply to every applicant.
