Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Philadelphia, PA)

Westbrook Corner Markets serves neighbourhoods around Philadelphia with fresh food and everyday goods. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with pricing. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
