Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Orlando, FL)

Harborlight Pine Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for production lines, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Orlando. What you will do • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
