Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Orlando, FL)

Clearpath Sable Water Authority Group operates treatment plants and pipelines around Orlando, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Orlando. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around water quality against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
