Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Oklahoma City, OK)

Cedar Clear Banking Services Group provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Oklahoma City. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan files, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with loan files. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oklahoma City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
