Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Oklahoma City, OK)

Cedar Yarrow Facilities Group looks after properties across the Oklahoma City region. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oklahoma City. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to contractor visits, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with contractor visits. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oklahoma City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
