Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Oakland, CA)

Northwind Glen Care Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for visit scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to visit scheduling, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around care plans against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
