Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Nashville, TN)

We are growing our team at Northwind River Financial Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 165 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around regulatory reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor spend, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Nashville. • We reply to every applicant.
