Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Minneapolis, MN)

Cedar Fern Care Services provides in-home and community support in Minneapolis. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around caregiver training against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
