Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Minneapolis, MN)

Amberfield Cedar Hospitality is a hospitality company in Minneapolis with restaurants, rooms and catering, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with food costs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
