Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Memphis, TN)

Summit Vista Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for tooling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to tooling, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Memphis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
