Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Memphis, TN)

Stonegate Rook Press is a printer and publisher in Memphis serving local and national clients. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to print quotes, and clear open items. • Track costs around press runs against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Memphis. • We reply to every applicant.
