Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Memphis, TN)

Northwind Juniper Legal Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for trust accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around intake forms against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with trust accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Memphis. • We reply to every applicant.
