Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Memphis, TN)

Cedar Rowan Farms Group supplies farm and food customers across the Memphis region. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around grower contracts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to seasonal crews, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with seasonal crews. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Memphis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
