Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Memphis, TN)

Foxglove Juniper Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Memphis, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production batches, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Memphis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
