Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Las Vegas, NV)

Cedar Beacon Press is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for press runs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to press runs, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around paper stock against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with press runs. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
