Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Las Vegas, NV)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Bridge Transit Planning and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ridership counts, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Las Vegas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
