Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Jackson, MS)

Greenridge Harbor Telecom is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for service installations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service installations, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around billing accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
