Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Grand Rapids, MI)

Nova Willow Pharma Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for quality documentation, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Track costs around clinical studies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with quality documentation. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
