Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Fort Worth, TX)

Bright Ashton Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Fort Worth. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 836 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Fort Worth. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
