Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Fort Worth, TX)

Cedar Nest Financial Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for regulatory reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 249 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory reports, and clear open items. • Track costs around account servicing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory reports. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Fort Worth, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
