Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Fort Worth, TX)

Cedar Rowan Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around service alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Fort Worth. • We reply to every applicant.
