Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Fort Worth, TX)

Rivermark Bright Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Fort Worth, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with promotions. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Fort Worth. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
