Senior Accountant - accounts payable (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Iron Pharma Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. We work to strict standards and value careful documentation. What you will do • Track costs around regulatory filings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with batch records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in El Paso. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
