Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Denver, CO)

Clearpath Sparrow Environmental Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for fleet maintenance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around service complaints against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fleet maintenance, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Denver. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
