Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Cleveland, OH)

We are growing our team at Northwind Sable Construction Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to subcontractor invoices, and clear open items. • Track costs around project schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with subcontractor invoices. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Cleveland. • We reply to every applicant.
